Regs, Regs, and More Regs!

Regulatory compliance is often a waiver provider’s arch nemesis, and with good reason.

Knowing all the regulations is a necessary evil and a legitimate challenge. And non-compliance is expensive!

When your team knows, understands, and can apply the regulations your agency is protected from:

•          Citations for non-compliance

•          Auditor errors

•          County board misdirection

•          Lost revenue from billing and service delivery errors

Not to mention the hidden costs of bad reviews and a dented reputation on your ability to attract new individuals.

In this hands-on training for managers of waiver services, we’ll break compliance down into consumable and implementable chunks.

Participants will learn:

•          Which rules to keep in your back pocket at all times. (One is going to be a major surprise!)

•          Which rules you need to keep handy for quick reference.

•          How to stop being held hostage by the rules, and use them to your advantage for a change. (Wouldn’t that be nice?)

•          How to apply the rules to real life situations

Participants are encouraged to bring their questions and challenging scenarios for discussion and problem solving.

Sara excels at assessing workflows, streamlining communication, defining outcomes, solving the right problems, and developing the plans needed to reach company goals.    

Sara holds a bachelor's degree in Public Relations and a master's in Public Administration. Sara has served individuals with disabilities and other vulnerable populations in the areas of residential services, community employment, case management, housing, program management, investigations, services and supports, vocational rehabilitation, state policy development, compliance audits, and more.
