Population Health Management Forum: 
Maximizing System Data to Identify Children with Complexity

Join a panel discussion by leaders and stakeholders of the Oregon Pediatric Improvement Partnership (OPIP) for an overview of novel methodology to identify children with health complexity to guide and inform state, system and practice-level efforts and improvement.  The panelist will review and share input on:

  • Overview the partnership between the Oregon Pediatric Improvement Partnership (OPIP) and the Oregon Health Authority to develop a standardized way, using system-level data, to identify publicly insured children in Oregon with medical and social health complexity.
  • Describe how the data has been shared with CCOs.
  • Overview the population-level health complexity findings statewide and variations observed by CCO, county, age and race/ethnicity.
  • Share ways how data can be used to guide and inform investment and improvements in care to meet the needs of children with health complexity

Panel members will include Colleen Reuland, MS, OPIP’s Director and Jon Collins, PhD, Director, Office of Health Analytics, Oregon Health Authority.  Moderator Richard Gibson, MD, PhD, President, Health Record Banking Alliance 

Join colleagues from Oregon and Southern Washington as the panel shares insights gleaned from experiences and collaborations with other leaders in the field. A Q&A session will follow.  The event is open to HIMSS members, guests, and all those interested in learning about the changing role of informatics and health IT professionals.
