Live Skype with
Marjory Stoneman Douglas Teacher, Jim Gard
Join us for a live Skype conversation with Jim Gard, one of the teachers who was present during the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida last February 14.
Mr. Gard is a long-time friend of Ellison Head of School, Leslie Walker, and has agreed to share his story and insight with Ellison families as well as community members in commemoration of the one-year anniversary of the tragedy.
Mr. Gard will tell us about his own experience on the day of the tragedy and inform us of how the school and district have addressed safety concerns over this past year. He will also describe the events that will be taking place at the school for the one-year remembrance the following day. The public will have the opportunity to ask questions.
