Princeton Bar Association February CLE: Hot Topics in Marijuana Law

Dear Colleague:

Please join us on Wed. February 27th for a CLE luncheon featuring a panel presentation on hot topics in marijuana law, including: the status of marijuana law legislation nationwide; legal challenges that medical marijuana growers and dispensaries face; and employment law issues arising out of the use of medical marijuana in the workplace.

With more and more states legalizing medical marijuana, and in some cases recreational marijuana, legal issues are on the rise.  We are pleased to offer a panel discussion featuring two extremely knowledgeable speakers in this emerging area of law.

Anne M. Davis is an attorney practicing in the areas of civil litigation, family law, personal injury and business law and a frequent lecturer in the area of cannabis law. She serves on the Cannabis Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and formerly served as Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of NORML New Jersey (National Organizatioin for the Reform of Marijuana Laws); a member of NORML's Legal Committee; and is one of the founding members of the NORML Women's Alliance.  Currently, she serves as counsel to the American Nurses Association.

Seth R. Tipton is a partner with Florio, Perrucci, Steinhardt & Cappelli LLC and concentrates his practice in corporate law, cannabis law, real estate development and commercial lending. With the firm, Seth has been involved in the legislation legalizing medical marijuana in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has represented numerous applicants for medical marijuana permits in both states, guiding them on private capital raises, application requirements and real estate. Seth also regularly counsels clients on all aspects of formation and compliance for cannabis companies, and serves as a co-chair for the New Jersey Bar Association's inaugural Cannabis Law Committee.

CLE Credit- Participants will receive a certificate valid for 1 CLE credit certified in PA and valid for 1 reciprocal credit in New Jersey, New York and any other state that accepts PA CLE credits in reciprocity.  Certification pending.
