Jon Walters from Housing Innovation Partners will teach us all about Motivational Interviewing, specifically geared toward Supportive Housing Residents.
Motivational interviewing is a directive, client-centered counseling and engagement style for eliciting behavior change by helping clients to explore and resolve ambivalence. The examination and resolution of ambivalence is MI's central purpose, and the staff member is intentionally directive in pursuing this goal.
