Understanding Financial Statements

You probably did not establish your businesses out of a love for paperwork. One of the classic pieces of paper a business owner will deal with is the financial statement. In this workshop, learn in plain language what a financial statement is describing and key concepts that will help make this information actionable. You will also learn how to talk to an accountant about how to set up your bookkeeping in such a way that you will be able to easily monitor the metrics that matter to your business's success.

The workshop will be presented by Alan Millner. Alan is an electrical engineer, author of 11 patents, and an experienced volunteer business counselor with SCORE. He co-founded, operated and sold a solar photovoltaic power business and has experience in design of electronics hardware and software, energy systems, medical devices, and industrial equipment.
