Basin Wide Luncheon March 12, 2019 

This month the guest speakers are Kimberly Pope the Community Liaison Specialist and Walter Parham the School Liaison for the 29 Palms Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command/Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center.  

Kimberly Pope’s duties as the MCAGCC Community Relations Specialist include: coordinating and directing all support for outside agencies requesting assistance from the Marines Corps, liaison for MCAGCC to the local community, representing MCAGCC at the local government and Chamber of Commerce levels. Ms. Pope sits on the Twentynine Palms Chamber of Commerce, Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce, and on the board of management for the Armed Service YMCA. Ms. Pope also facilities many community partnerships to include the Adopt a School program with the Morongo Unified School District and the Marines aboard MCAGCC. 

Walter Parham is the Combat Center School Liaison where he serves as the link between military families, the installation commander, military agencies and schools by providing assistance in matters pertaining to student education.. He holds an MA in Education and has over a decade of experience working in education, residential treatment and youth correctional facilities. He is also the current Head Men’s Basketball coach at Copper Mountain College.
