Explore how popular film helps or hinders         faith-based work in racial healing.

March 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Episcopal Community Services, 225 S 3rd St., Philadelphia.

$20 admission.

Episcopal Community Services of Philadelphia and the Church of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Chestnut Hill, invite you to explore and discuss race in the United States through this important lens at Scene & Unseen: Facing Race Through Film, a program of Trinity Church, Wall Street's, Trinity Institute.

Using videos from Trinity Institute’s recent conference of the same name, Scene & Unseen: Facing Race through Film features discussions by presenters such as the Rev. Kelly Brown Douglas, dean of Episcopal Divinity School at Union Seminary, Dr. Melissa Harris-Perry of Wake Forest University and Dr. Catherine Meeks of the Absalom Jones Center for Racial Reconciliation.

The strength of these local viewings of Trinity Institute discussions is the local table conversation and networking that they foster, as we support each other in justice work in Philadelphia.

The conference fee of $20 per person includes conference admission, light breakfast and lunch.

Scholarships are available, please contact Barbara Ballenger at bballenger@stmartinec.org for more information.
