NICK DIBERARDINO WILL SPEAK WITH US ON MARCH 27TH
Curtis Composer Nick DiBerardino, recently featured in The Philadelphia Inquirer for his work with schoolchildren at Girard College, will be our featured speaker next Wednesday (Mary Javian had to pull out). We will hear about his latest composition, an opera called Anansi, which will be performed at two Curtis family concerts on March 31st. Nick will also speak of his work with Mary Javian and of his life as a composer.
Rhodes Scholar Nick DiBerardino (b. 1989), hailed as a “bright young star” and a “first-rate talent” by the Portland Press Herald, composes music that is diverse in style but always oriented toward meaningful narrative arcs. Nick earned his bachelor’s degree at Princeton University and an M.Phil with distinction from the University of Oxford, holds an M.M. from the Yale School of Music, and has received a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in composition at the Curtis Institute of Music, where he has studied with Jennifer Higdon and David Ludwig.
