Women are starting businesses at a faster pace than their male counterparts. Do they face the same challenges?

Join SCORE for our first women-focused workshop to learn about the differences facing women-owned versus male-owned businesses as well as strategies to navigate through business ownership. Leave this workshop inspired by one of our clients as she shares her journey to entrepreneurship.

Part 1:  What differentiates a Female-Owned Business from Male-Owned?

In Houston, the percentage of female-owned businesses is 39% vs. 52% male-owned. What differentiates them?

  • Is Funding easier to obtain for male-owned vs. female owned?
  • How much emphasis is placed on risk-taking?
  • How much emphasis on winning?
  • How much on work/life balance?

Join us to hear how women can grow their business . . . including a dash of inspiration from notable female leaders.
