Dining Etiquette & Effective Leadership

For matches with Littles 12+

This is the RESCHEDULED workshop from April 11th.

In this presentation, youth and their Bigs will learn basic manners and age-appropriate etiquette.  Why? Because Manners Are Memorable.  People remember what you do, what you say and how you behave.  It all matters.

Incorporating leadership skills such as characteristics and behaviors of an effective leader, along with dining and social (interpersonal) etiquette skills, youth and their Bigs will learn how to prepare and present themselves with greater poise and confidence.  Participants will gain valuable life-skills that will enable and empower them to navigate their increasingly complex and diverse world.

*Plated 3-course meal will be served at this event. It is suggested that you and your Little have a light afternoon snack as we will not serve salad immediately at 6pm.

Topics to be covered during the workshop include:

Ø  What is etiquette and why is it important?

Ø  Introducing yourself & Introducing others

Ø  Engaging in small talk and conversations

Ø  Qualities of an Effective Leader

Ø  Getting Your SELF Ready – Dressing and grooming for the occasion

Ø  Dining Etiquette – Place setting, handling cutlery, dining from start to finish

Ø  Thank you note
