NAWBO Silicon Valley Presents:

From Local to Global:

Working Internationally from Silicon Valley

Silicon Valley is the epicenter of global possibilities. Even the most local of companies has the chance to impact international visitors, customers, employees, and partners. Join us for an evening of networking and sharing insights to discuss opportunities and best practices to connect with the world from right where we are.

The word "international" can spark both excitement and intimidation. So we'll delve into new ways and tools for connecting globally along with best practices for managing this area of our business.

NAWBO Silicon Valley is the only chapter in the US with an international committee, so we have developed relationships, tools, resources and experiences to help our members and guests to access new markets in ways that work for our companies.

We'll cover:

  • Organizations, tools and partnerships that support international connections
  • Best Practices for doing business that crosses borders
  • How to begin engaging with international opportunities

The evening will include Q&A and group discussion over dinner along with networking and a no-host bar at the Silicon Valley Capital Club.

Special thanks to our panelists and speakers:

Maureen Broderick, Co-Founder and CEO, WorldWideWomen

WorldWideWomen is the first-ever global online resource directory for women and girls around the world. We launched two years ago with over 6,000 listings of organizations and services exclusively for women in 23 cities and 13 countries. We bring our website to life through our annual Girls' Festivals-- a day of power and possibility for thousands of girls and their families. Our three festivals to date have attracted over 10,000 attendees. Our first festivals have all been held in the San Francisco Bay Area, but our vision is to take the program on the road to major cities around the world. Our mission is to connect women and girls to valuable organizations and services that support and empower their lives. Through our online directory of resources and our local festivals, we bring inspiration, information, and powerful life-changing connections to women worldwide.
