Penn Vet Working Dog Center 

Join other FitC members to see first hand what it takes to train our nation’s leading detection dogs.

The PENN VET WORKING DOG CENTER serves as a national research and development center and training center for scent detection dogs. Their dogs are trained to find victims of disasters, detect explosives and narcotics, apprehend criminals and conduct search & rescue missions. Some dogs are trained for ovarian cancer detection. These dogs literally save lives.

Register Now!Event Cost: $10 (includes donation to Working Dog Center).  Refunds available until April 30th, 2019. FitC Members only.   Please let us know if you are unable to attend, so that another FitC member may attend. 

Participants must wear long pants and flat, closed toe shoes. Please arrive 10 minutes earlier to complete a Liability and Video release forms.

 
Weather permitting, the tour and demonstrations are primarily conducted outside. Limited wheelchair accessibility for indoor portion only, not outside for demonstrations.

Free parking is available at the entrance to the campus. From there, walk to the white, one-story building just beyond and to the left of the Pennovation Building. Enter at the second red, white, & blue awning with a German Shepherd painted on it.
