Featured Speakers: Elizabeth M. Tanner, Esq. – Director Tanner was appointed the Director of Department of Business Regulation in November 2017 where she is continuing her efforts to improve the business climate in Rhode Island. She previously oversaw business retention for all in-state businesses and has led an effort to streamline and simplify businesses’ interactions with government. Director Tanner has also served as a SCORE mentor. Sandra McNamara - Sandra been a strong supporter of women in business for a number of years as an RI Small Business Development Center employee and consultant and CWE presenter and volunteer. She is now working with scholars in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. The Woman Development Institute recently presented Sandra with its “Extraordinary Woman Award” for her volunteer work with women of color and low income women who are starting businesses. |
