APPLYING STRATEGIC SKILLS IN RECRUITING AND HIRING SALESPEOPLE

Your success as a sales manager or business owner often starts with your ability to find and hire the best salespeople.  Unfortunately, most sales managers have not been properly trained or educated on hiring strategies, interviewing skills or questioning techniques.

For most companies the hiring process is considered extremely expensive given the recruiting costs, management time contributed toward the process, the opportunity costs lost due to open territories and the failure rates associated with unsuccessful hires. Yet, recruiting, interviewing and hiring is often an overlook job skill that most managers do not develop.

Hiring the right people for the right sales position will not only lower financial risks, but also improve employment tenures and enhance sales success.

In this workshop you will learn:

  • The necessary elements and process for developing a job profile and hiring template.
  • A structured approach for candidate selection.
  • The S.E.A.R.C.H. interview model
  • The process of narrowing the field of applicants with first round interviews.
  • To use relevant and appropriate interview questions based on an ideal candidate profile.
How to integrate the information learned in the interview and determine candidate “FIT” to the position by applying decision making structure to the interview process.
