F.L.A.S.H. Training 

Family Life And Sexual Health (F.L.A.S.H.) is a widely used, school-based comprehensive sexual health education curriculum.  This curriculum is available for elementary, middle school, high school, and special education classrooms.  F.L.A.S.H. provides information on sexual health topics including: abstinence, birth control, STD and HIV prevention, sexual orientation, sexual identity, sexual violence prevention, condoms, decision making, reproductive systems and healthy relationships.

F.L.A.S.H. is aligned with and meets all eight standards of the National Health Standards for Sexual Health (HECAT) and the National Sexuality Education Standards, and will meet requirements for the Human Growth and Development Mandate. Each lesson contains assessments based on meeting the above standards.

This F.L.A.S.H. Training of Educators will equip facilitators to implement the F.L.A.S.H. curriculum to middle school and high school youth. Training will include: overview of tech curriculum, key concepts, pedagogy strategy, and teach-back exercises.

Participants will leave this class fully ready to implement this curriculum to young people.

Cancellation Policy:

EyesOpenIowa reserves the right to cancel a training or event if we do not reach the minimum number of participants to make the event viable by the registration closing date. In the event that we cancel a training, we will notify you using the email you provide during registration and refund your full registration amount using the same method you used for payment.  Register early to avoid cancellation!

Full refunds will be provided to registrants who provide at least one week's notice prior to training. No refunds will be given after that time.
