The Annapolis Rendezvous by Hylas—our 8th annual Annapolis Rendezvous—starts with a happy hour at 4:30 pm (beer and wine included, mixed drinks available), and includes dinner and speaker. Free rum punch courtesy of the Tourism Ministry and National Park Service in Antigua! The event is open to all interested in blue water sailing.

About the Giffords. In 2008, Jamie and Behan left their home in Washington and embarked on a circumnavigation with their three children. After 10 years, they circled the globe, but are still sailing. Since starting their life on the sea, the Giffords have explored countless new places, learned to live with relatively few possessions, and grown closer as a family. HAPPY HOUR AND DINNER
Prior to the Giffords engaging presentation, we'll be meeting for a Happy Hour. Join us for a meet-and-greet and enjoy the company of other sailors - from experienced, seasoned passage-makers to those hoping to make their first passage to everyone in between. Catch up with old friends and make new ones. Share sailing stories!
Enjoy an open bar with draft beer, soda and wine (cash bar for mixed drinks). The Tourism Ministry and National Park Service in Antigua will be offering free rum punch as well.
Following Happy Hour, we'll sit down for a delicious dinner of hot sliced beef and turkey, mac and cheese, steamed vegetables, Italian sausage with onions and peppers, potato salad and dessert.
A two-hour open bar from 4:30 to 6:30, dinner and after dinner speakers are all included in one low registration fee. A cash bar will follow after the two-hour cocktail party.

We'll not only have more space (we outgrew our former venue), but there's no worries about inclement weather in this indoor venue, which boasts comfortable seating!
The Maryland Yacht Club is located on Rock Creek, just a bit north of Annapolis. There is a protected anchorage or you can enjoy great slip rates at the Maryland Yacht Club. You can even take advantage of these great rates and leave your boat tied up here while you take an Uber or Lyft to the Annapolis Boat Show following the Salty Dawg Annapolis Rendezvous!
If you plan to come to our seminar and/or rendezvous from the harbor area in Annapolis and do not have a car or friend to travel with, we will have limited capability to provide transportation to the Maryland Yacht Club on Oct.9 and again on Oct. 10. We will have one van and will recruit SDSA Members with cars in Annapolis to assist.
Please be sure to let us know if you are looking for transportation from the Harbor to the Maryland Yacht Club when you register.
Salty Dawg Sailing Association Members can reserve slips at the Maryland Yacht Club at the special rate of only $1 per foot, for the nights of October 7-12. Sailors are welcome to stay longer, during the period of the Annapolis Boat Show, at MYC’s normal low rates.
