OUR GROUP BLOCK IS SOLD OUT AT THE WESTIN... However if you are needing reservations we have secured an Overflow Block at the neighboring Hilton Head Marriott Resort & Spa with comparable rates to those we had at the Westin.

FUN, SUN & CE- Our Annual Conference is specially designed to fit all attending OD's needs.

We are proud to offer some of the best continuing education in the Southeast. This year being no exception! Working in collaboration with our friends at Southern College of Optometry we welcome Dr. Christopher Borgman and Dr. Shaleen Ragha to our speaker circuit. They join Dr. Katherine Mastrota, Dr. Aaron Bronner and Mr. Aubrey Villines to round out our speaking schedule. 

Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with vendors, network with longtime friends and meet new colleagues. We even plan our schedule to include some downtime to enjoy everything the resort & island has to offer.  See our full schedule below.    Meeting Brochure

NEW THIS YEAR>>> YOUNG OD PROGRAM 

The GOA is excited to bring this, the first ever, Young OD option to the GOA Annual Meeting. 

Can't get the time off during the week? Expense of the full conference not in your budget? Or maybe you just want a fun weekend getaway. Either way, the GOA has you covered!

Specially designed for our young ODs that have been in practice for 6 years or less, your discounted registration* will include the five hours of continuing education that is offered on Saturday (only), which does include Jurisprudence. You will have your afternoon free to enjoy the beach, pool, sightsee, etc. then the GOA will take you out for a night on the town coordinating a group excursion for a fun happy hour and fabulous meal featuring local cuisine. Transportation will be provided and spouses, partners or guests are welcome! See discounted rates under fees.

*The discounted rate applies only to the program as designed, if you plan on attending additional CE and social events, standard registration rates apply.     

EDUCATION & POLICIES -  There will be a total of 14 hours of CE offered at the GOA Annual Conference comprised of the following: 13 hours of COPE Approved CE (6 of which will also be available for continuing education with examination credit) and 1 hour of NON COPE Jurisprudence and Ethics. 

  • Vailid name badges will serve admission to the lecture hall and must be worn by attendees at all times.  
  • Entrance and exit of the lecture hall will be monitored to meet Georgia State Board Regulations and COPE Guidelines.
  • Attendees may only be absent from any class for a maximum of 10 minutes/lecture hour.  If absent more than the allotted time, attendee will be allowed to return to the lecture hall, but will not receive credit for that class.
  • OE Tracker/ARBO Cards will be scanned at the conclusion of each lecture. CE Certificates and QR Codes for use with the ARBO Mobile App will also be available.
  • FL License Holders - COPE Hours will be CE Broker Approved.

OD Registration: (Inclusive) Registration materials; admission to lecture hall each day; admission to all social events, all meals and drink tickets. 

Spouse/Guest/Children Registration: (Inclusive) Entrance into all social events; meals related too and corresponding drink tickets for all social events only.

$250/$300 - GOA/All AOA Member in practice 6yrs or less
$300/$350 - NON-GOA/NON-AOA Members in practice 6yrs or less
$50 - Spouse/Partner/Guest

CANCELLATION POLICY:  There will be a $35.00 Administrative Fee for all cancellations.  We will issue refunds for cancellations made prior to May 16, 2019. No refunds will be issued after May 16, 2019.  Substitutions are permitted at any time, please notify the GOA Office immediately with any changes or cancellations.
