Clerk of the Circuit Court, Loudoun County, VA
Gary M. Clemens has served as the Clerk of the Circuit Court for the past 19 years. Gary has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from James Madison University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from George Mason University. Gary is a faculty instructor with the National Center for State Courts Virginia Clerks Career Development Program.
He has served as the president for the Virginia Association of Constitutional Officers and the as the president of the Virginia Court Clerks’ Association (VCCA.) He currently serves as the chair for the VCCA Public Relations Committee. Gary serves on the Board of Directors for the Visit Loudoun Foundation, the James Madison University Political Science Alumni Board and the Board of Directors for the Loudoun Free Clinic.
Gary has lived in Loudoun County for 53 years, residing in Western Loudoun before moving to Eastern Loudoun. Gary resides in Ashburn with his wife Maria. They have three adult sons, one of whom is still attending college at James Madison University.
