2019 Palouse Tour
July 19th - July 21st

Registration for the 2019 Palouse Tour through Eastern Washington and Lake Coeur d’Alene is now open. Spots are limited to 30 people, so sign up early to make sure you don’t miss out on this amazing weekend!

The tour is being hosted by Chris and Stephanie Heller from Spokane and will run from Friday July 19th through Sunday July 21st. We will depart from Troutdale, OR on Friday morning and head east on I-84 to the Rowena Crest Viewpoint with its beautiful vistas of the Columbia River Gorge. We will continue on to lunch at Porter’s Real Barbecue in Kennewick, WA before finishing the day’s drive up to Spokane.

A block of rooms is reserved for our group at the gorgeous Davenport Historic Hotel in downtown Spokane where they have set aside designated parking and wash areas. Once we get settled at the hotel there will be a pre-dinner cocktail hour in the Porter Room at the Davenport Hotel where people can get better acquainted with club members they haven’t met before and old friends can continue to catch up. Dinner on Friday evening is a two block walk from the hotel to the legendary Churchill’s Steakhouse where we will enjoy a relaxing evening with excellent food and great wine.

We depart from the hotel on Saturday morning for a drive through the winding roads and rolling wheat fields of the Palouse region south of Spokane before crossing over into St Maries, Idaho. From there we will follow the scenic eastern shoreline of Lake Coeur d’Alene on our way to lunch at the Coeur d’Alene Golf Resort with a view of the 14th hole’s iconic Floating Green.

Upon our return to Spokane we will have some time to rest and get cleaned up before putting the cars on display for a couple of hours near Riverfront Park where the City of Spokane has graciously set aside some space for our group.

Saturday evening the Davenport Hotel will transport the group to our home in Spokane where we will have a casual catered dinner followed by an evening of poolside drinks, music, and fun with friends for as long as people want to stay.   It will probably be hot, so swimming is encouraged but not required . There is a poolside cabana to get in and out of swim suits, which are most definitely required!  The Davenport will transport people back to the hotel, so no one need worry about driving at the end of the evening.

The tour will conclude Sunday with a farewell group breakfast at the Palm Court Grill in the stunning atrium of the Davenport Hotel. People are then free to head home at their leisure or stay and explore Spokane.  Riverfront Park, Riverside State Park and Manito Park with its Duncan Garden, Japanese Garden, Rose Garden, and Gaiser Conservatory are well worth a visit before leaving town.

Registration is $225 per person, which will include dinner and drinks on both Friday and Saturday evening. Each participant will make their own hotel reservations from the block of rooms set aside for our group at the Davenport Historic Hotel. Breakfast and lunch will be each participant’s responsibility as well.

We look forward to hosting a fabulous weekend and showing off our beautiful part of the country.
