Founded in 1996 by college buddies David Eliot and Tom McKenzie to highlight the arts and events of Door County, the Peninsula Pulse has grown into a year 'round, trusted source for news, entertainment, culture, business, sports and much more. Their team of 20 local reporters, editors, designers, filmmakers and salespeople not only produce the weekly newspaper, but also churn out six issues of Door County Living magazine, two weekly podcasts, dozens of videos through Peninsula Filmworks, and distribute print materials and posters for scores of Door County businesses. They also partner with the Peninsula Pacers to put on the Door County Half Marathon, Peninsula Century Rides, Door County Beer Festival, Door County Pond Hockey Tournament, and the Door County Wine Festival.
