Kathy Simmons Memorial 5K Walk/Run/Roll 2019
On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused in the United States. In 2003, Kathy Simmons was one of those people, ending in her death. Join WIRC-CAA Victim Services to raise awareness and show support of victims of domestic violence by participating in the Kathy Simmons Memorial 5K Walk/Run/Roll!
The course begins at Citizen’s Bank Plaza on the corner of Randolph and Washington streets in Macomb. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with the Walk/Run/Roll beginning at 8:00 am. All age groups are welcome, with ribbons being awarded to top overall male and female runners. Walkers or participants in wheelchairs and other non-competitive individuals are encouraged to sign up to support the event.
Participants who pre-register by Noon on April 19 can sign up for $30 and will be guaranteed a t-shirt. Those who choose to register after that date can participate for $35 (t-shirt not included). In-person registrations will also be accepted on the day of the race for $35 (t-shirt not included).
