Bluebird Parade for Foster Children
Friday, May 3, 2019
This will be the third year the Bluebird Parade for Foster Children has joined the First Friday ArtWalk in May. Hundreds of people from all over the community - famiies, schools, groups, and organizations - are creating bluebirds in recognition of our children in foster care.
JOIN US
Our goal is to have one original bluebird to represent each unique child in foster care in our community. Right now, that number is approximately 240. To join the parade, create a bluebird and bring it to CitySpace on Friday, May 3.
PREMIERE OF "THE BLUEBIRD PROJECT"
DOCUMENTARY BY LIGHT HOUSE
After the Bluebird Parade, we'll show "The Bluebird Project". This 7-minute documentary by Light House Studio includes interviews with bluebird artists, foster parents, and local businesses who support the event, like MarieBette and Gearharts Fine Chocolates. Marnie Allen, creator and founder of The Bluebird Project, narrates.
