2019 Annual Luncheon!

Guest speakers to address water resource issues
followed by Q&A

Tri-County Regional Planning Commission's 2019 luncheon is set for Thursday, May 2, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey Hotel, 4650 Lindle Road, Swatara Township.

Our guest speakers will be Felicia Dell, AICP, director of the York County Planning Commission, and Ruth Hocker, stormwater program manager for the City of Lancaster, who will talk about water resource issues in the region, including water quality, flooding, and stormwater management.

Their presentations will be followed by a Q&A with luncheon attendees, so be sure not to miss the chance to learn more about this crucial topic!

After attending Slippery Rock University, the University of Salamanca, Spain and Texas A&M University, Dell returned to her native York to begin her urban planning career. She became director of YCPC in 2000, managing its day-to-day operations and long-term direction, including administering the county’s MS4 permit and related stormwater planning and regional coordination.

Hocker holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Pennsylvania College of Technology and a master’s degree in environmental engineering from Penn State. She has over 10 years of experience in regional watershed planning, including Lancaster City’s Green Infrastructure program, which is considered a statewide model and has been sought out by international governments for peer support.

Over 120 people attended the 2018 luncheon. It’s a great opportunity for elected leaders, municipal officials, planners, developers, engineers and others to dine together, network and discuss the region’s future.

1 CM credit is available to planners who attend, courtesy of the Central Section of the American Planning Association's Pennsylvania Chapter.

The admission price is $10 per person, plus ONE CANNED GOOD ITEM AT THE DOOR for a food drive benefiting the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. You may register yourself and up to 7 other individuals below.

Registration closes on Friday, April 26 at 5 p.m. No refunds will be issued after that date.

(NOTE: The Food Bank's highest priority items currently are peanut butter, canned tuna, and juice boxes for kids with 100% real fruit juice. It also needs a variety of canned goods including fruits and vegetables, soups, meats and stews; bags of dried beans; packaged meals, cereals, macaroni and cheese, pasta and rice; and baby food, cereal and formula. Your food donation at the luncheon will be greatly appreciated!)
