Turn ordinary ingredients found in your refrigerator and pantry into amazing dishes
by learning to make these simple sauces and gravies. In this hands on and demo-style class we will focuses on sauce preparation and highlight how each one can be used to make quick and creative dishes. Gravies: we will explore variations on the mother sauces, Veloute and Béchamel. Pan Sauces: we’ll learn to create a rich sauce in a pan in minutes. Dipping Sauces: we’ll make some easy sauces that can be whipped up in a blender that will make ordinary dishes extraordinary. We taste all of the sauces we make in class with roasted chicken, veggies and bread. Wine tasting to compliment the menu.
