Introduction to Xello

Xello helps every middle and high school student plan for success now and in the future. And this spring, you can get an advanced preview of what Xello has to offer and try out the student experience for yourself. 

9:00am - 12:00pm -- Meet & Test Drive Xello
Xello helps set every student up to succeed in high school and beyond. The discovery-based model empowers them to create personalized plans through an immersive experience that builds essential self-knowledge and skills while explorimg all future possibilities for success.  
This session will help prepare you for your school district's move from Career Cruising to Xello.
Session goals:
- Introduce Xello and why it was developed
- Highlight key outcomes DPI and WI districts want to achieve with Xello
- Demonstrate how Xello supports these outcomes
- Ensure attendees know what to expect with the migration process
- Get hands-on and experience Xello like their students will!

12:30 - 3:00pm -- Turning Report Data Into Action
Learn how to access reporting tools for determining the effectiveness of your Academic Career Plan. Share ideas for how software data could be used to measure Wisconsin SLOs.

Session goals:
- Use software reports to find answers to ACP progress
- Success stories for turning data into action
- Ideas for developing Wisconsin SLOs
- Utilize WISEdash to link College & Career Readiness, ACP and CTEERS data
- Define and locate data to measure student progress in ACP components
- Manipulate data to make comparisons and find gaps
- Coordinate Xello data with WISEdash to interpret and utilize in ACP refinement

Who should attend: Educators and ACP leaders who have used Career Cruising with students in a classroom or counseling setting.

** Work time provided, participants should bring a fully charged laptop.
