The purpose of the presentation is to present an overview of the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) and their Certification Programs.  It will include ICRI’s Concrete Surface Repair Technician (CSRT) program as well as their Concrete Surface Moisture Technician (CSMT) certification.   With respect to the CSRT program, this presentation will also provide an overview of how the CSRT relates to ACI 562 Concrete Repair Code which has been adopted in Ohio and Hawaii with hearings underway in Florida and Georgia.

Certification Manager, International Concrete Repair Institute

Steven R. Bruns, PE is the Certification Manager for the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI).  Prior to joining ICRI, Mr. Bruns spent over 30 years in consulting on a multitude of structural issues - a large portion of his consulting efforts involved the evaluation and repair of distressed concrete structures. During his career, he has served on the local boards of both ICRI and ACI – including President of both local organizations.  He has also served on the National Board of Directors for ICRI.  Mr. Bruns is a registered Professional Engineer in Illinois and Indiana and holds Bachelors and Master’s degrees in Structural Engineering from Purdue University. He also obtained an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
