Join Blue Angel Scott Kartvedt for his presentation at Aspen Flying Club on Saturday, April 27th at 9:00am. He will be describing his military career, what it is like to be a Blue Angel, and THE tool the Navy Flight Demonstration Team uses to approach perfection: The Debrief.
Scott was selected to be a Blue Angel 1999 and flew plane numbers 7, 6, and 5. Later, he commanded an F/A-18 Hornet squadron during two combat deployments. Scott helped develop and budget war fighting requirements for the F-35C Strike Fighter, and later became the Navy’s first Commanding Officer of the only F-35C Stealth Strike Fighter Squadron in the US inventory. He retired from the Navy in 2013.
Currently, Scott is an Instructor/Evaluator at United Airlines Flight Training Center. He is involved in the development and deployment of the Upset Prevention and Recovery Training program at United, in addition to his duties training and checking United line pilots. He is also a Human Factors instructor.
This presentation is valuable to all aspiring military, commercial, or regular pilot who want to learn the tried and tested method the Blue Angels use to refine their skills.
A picnic lunch will follow this presentation. Space is limited, so don't wait to register!
