This lecture is designed for sports medicine physicians, athletic trainers and coaches to gain a better understanding of hand and wrist injuries in athletes as well as to learn new modalities available to assess body composition in wrestlers.

1. Identify the most common hand and wrist injuries sustained in sports
2. Review the hand/wrist physical exam and diagnostic testing options for injuries in athletes
3. Describe treatment options for management of hand and wrist injuries in the athlete
4. Discuss the rehabilitation techniques for return to activity specific to hand and wrist injuries
5. Review the importance of body composition assessments for wrestlers
6. Discuss current tools available to assess body composition in wrestlers
7. Describe the practicality of using ultrasound as a tool to measure body composition
8. Demonstrate the body composition exam with BodyMetrix device in order to visualize scanning sites
