Late Night Writers Room

Mondays, May 6th - June 3rd

If you've ever wanted to be a writer for TV, or work on topical material including sketch, desk pieces, and monologue jokes this is a great introductory class. Collaborating with other writers is key to a career- each week you will be given in class assignments and you'll learn to write with others recreating a Writer's Room under John's guidance. There will be weekly homework assigments as well, so this is not a class to just "show up". This will be a very interactive class so there will be ample time for Q&A each session. 

In class you will cover:

• Everything pertaining to late night TV including monologue and field pieces
• Learning to collaborate with fellow writers
• Instructor feedback on your joke writing assignments
• Learning to write killer monologue & topical jokes

Instructor: John Reynolds 

John Reynolds has taught the prestigious Late Night Writers Workshop for NBC every year since its inception in 2013. Students have gone on to write for Fallon, Conan, and more. He has written for Comedy Central’s The President Show, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and is a Peabody award winner.
