Growing Neighborhood Leadership

2019 GREENPRINT SUMMIT

Connect, celebrate, and learn how to create healthy communities

Sacramento is known worldwide for being the City of Trees, but some neighborhoods have much better tree canopy than others. Research shows that neighborhoods with lots of trees have lots of benefits:

  • Cooler temperatures
  • Less crime
  • Healthier kids

Does your neighborhood lack trees? Want to change that? Attend and learn how the Sacramento Tree Foundation's NeighborWoods initiative brings together people to make positive change in their communities.

You'll get the chance to network with other community members who are passionate for improving their neighborhoods, and you'll go home with a toolkit for making positive change.

Agenda

  • Opening - Heather Fargo, Rachel Patten, Theresa Bible, Victoria Vasquez
  • Why Community Action is Needed - Katie Valenzuela
  • Del Paso Heights Case Study - Fatima Malik
