Join MMPA & WCMA in New Orleans this September for our first ever combined membership event!

 

 

REGISTRANTS ARE ADVISED TO READ THIS!

Attendees should note this program begins in New Orleans, Louisiana and ends in Mobile, Alabama. If you are flying to this event, you will fly into Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY). You will fly home from Mobile Regional Airport (MOB).

When booking your airfare, please note the drop time at the Mobile Regional Airport (MOB) on Wednesday is estimated at 2:30 pm CST at the earliest. Those who cannot find flights out that evening will have the option of booking into the event's host hotel in Mobile which is the the Renaissance Riverview Plaza (see booking link below).

The bus from New Orleans will only travel to the (MOB) Mobile Regional irport or the Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel on Wednesday, September 25. Transportation to the Mobile Regional Airport (MOB) will not be provided on the Thursday, September 26. Furthermore, the bus will not be returning to New Orleans.

8:00 am - Depart The Astor Crowne Plaza - IMPORTANT: The bus will depart promptly at 8 am. If you are not on the bus with your luggage loaded, the event coordinators will know you are either driving yourself to Barnett Millworks or not going on the tour. This bus will not return to New Orleans. Please read the schedule carefully before making airfare arrangements

10:45 am - Arrive Barnett Millworks

12:00 pm - Lunch onsite at Barnett Millworks

1:30 to 1:45 pm - Depart for Mobile Regional Airport (MOB)

2:30 pm - Arrive Mobile Regional Airport (MOB)

2:45 pm - Depart Mobile Regional Airport (MOB)

3:30 pm - Arrive Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel - IMPORTANT: You will need to book a hotel room in Mobile, Alabama if you are not flying out this evening. Transportation back to the airport on Thursday, September 26 is not provided.

Important: Transportation is not provided to the airport on Thursday. Additionally, the bus will not be returning to New Orleans.

Registration and Attendance Fees Cancellation Policy: Cancellation of participation in the Fall Tech Ed & Plant Tours before August 16, 2019, will result in a refund less a 20% admininstration fee. No refunds will be extended to cancellations of participation in this event on or after August 16, 2019. By registering for the Fall Tech Ed & Plant Tours program, the attendee(s) agree to the cancellation policy. The event organizers regret any inconvenience associated with this pollicy, but last minute cancellations leave MMPA and WCMA exposed to food, beverage, and meeting space commitments along with bus transportation supplier fees. Careful planning will alleviate any financial exposure for the individual and the associations.

Important: Tech Partners who choose to participate in the Productivity Information Exchange (PIE) or Poker Suite Crawl will need to reserve a Suite if available. Tech Partners participating in PIE will be given preference for Suite reservations in the discounted block until they are sold out. After June 7, if there are Suites still available in the discounted block, Tech Partners not participating in PIE and Manufacturing attendees will be able to reserve the remaining Suites on a first come basis. 

Tech Partners should register online for a regular room at the above link.  Once secured, send an email to Deondra Porter, Group Coordinator for the event at The Astor Crowne Plaza to have your room converted to a Suite. Send your reservation confirmation number and ask to be moved into one of the Fall Tech Ed & Plant Tours suites set aside at the hotel. You may reach Deondra at: dporter@astorneworleans.com 

If you are not registered as a PIE participant or Poker Suite Crawl sponsor, your reservation will not be converted to a discounted Suite in the system. You will be placed on a waitlist until after June 7th and event staff will notifiy you as the Suites Booking List is updated from the hotel. Those booking into the hotel and requesting Suites, but have not registered online for the event will also be placed on a waitlist until their registration is processed. Your reservation will be upheld for a regular room, but will not convert to a Suite until your registration has processed and your PIE or Poker Suite Crawl has been verified.

Non-Smoking Hotel: The Astor Crowne Plaza is a non-smoking hotel. The Astor Crowne Plaza has asked the event organizers to notify attendees smoking is not allowed in the hotel rooms. You will be charged a minimum of $250.00++ US if you smoke in your sleeping room. Please contact the hotel for information on smoking areas. 

Hotel Cancellation Policy: All hotel deposits are refundable if cancellation is received by the hotel on or prior to August 30, 2019. After August 30, 2019, please note the following: Cancelled reservations will result in 100% payment (room and tax) for the entire stay booked. The individual's credit card will be charged accordingly. If a credit card is not on file with the hotel, an invoice will be sent. A change in a reservation resulting in a reduction of room night(s) will result in 100% payment (room and tax) of the cancelled room night(s). By booking into the discounted room block offered by the MMPA and WCMA, attendee(s) agree to the cancellation policy which is now industry standard in the meetings and events industry. Last minute guestroom cancellations leave MMPA and WCMA exposed to large contractual commitments with no opportunity to resell the guestrooms. Careful planning will alleviate any financial exposure for the individual and the association. This cancellation clause overrides the online reservation clause posted by The Astor Crowne Plaza booking site and attendee(s) acknowledge and agree to this policy by booking into the discounted room block.

TRANSPORTATION: The Astor Crowne Plaza in New Orleans nor the Renaissance Riverview Plaza offers a shutlle to/from the arport. Taxi and Uber are available. You do not need a rental car unless you would like one. The parking at the Astor Crowne Plaza is Valet only.
