Adding Value to Our Forests 

The Santee Chapter SC Division SAF is proud to invite you to the 2019 Summer Annual Meeting: Adding Value to Our Forests. Please join us June 5th & 6th in Sumter, SC. With the help of many folks across the forest industry we are offering a private field tour, social and technical meeting that you will not want to miss!

The field tour will be held at the Manchester State Forest on Wednesday, June 5th, starting at 1:00 PM. This tour will be a great opportunity to learn about managing the forest for Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and Tree Farm certification, and to possibly earn some CFE credit along the way (3 hours). 

Following the field tour on Wednesday evening, there will be a social event at Serendipity including beverages and heavy hors d'oeuvres. The social starts at 6:00 PM, and is a great opportunity to tell lies, eat excellent food, rekindle working relationships and perhaps, make new ones. If you would, please check the box on the registration page if you plan to attend the social.

The technical meeting will be held at the Sumter Opera House on Thursday, June 6th, starting at 8:00. This is another great opportunity to not only earn 5 hours of CFE credits but also to learn from a terrific line-up of speakers that will be informing us about new or improved ways of Adding Value to Our Forests. The wisdom that these speakers display and bring to the table is something that can benefit everyone from a private landowner to a financial asset manager and everyone in between. The meeting will include breaks and a lunch that we are pretty excited about.
