Sound Thinking NYC Career and College Expo at Viacom

The Sound Thinking NYC (STNYC) Career and College Exposition is a FREE event during the third annual New York Music Month (NYMM). The STNYC Expo will take place on June 19th 2019 and is hosted by the CUNY Creative Arts Team, Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment, and VH1 Save The Music Foundation, in partnership with NY is Music.

The STNYC Expo invites middle and high school students to explore how to turn a passion for music into a possible college and career path, especially in music production. The Expo will spotlight NYC’s vibrant music scene, music/arts organizations, and educational institutions.

As STNYC promotes equity in the music industry, our Expo will provide attendees with opportunities to share and learn through intergenerational panels, as well as opportunities to showcase their talents live during an open mic and in recorded form in the Sound Thinking "Listening Booth".

Vendors will have tables and stations to engage attendees in hands-on activities around music while providing information about their organization and/or educational programs.

*Open to ALL NYC students, families, and school groups.

*RSVP to attend; ID will be requested and NO large packages/boxes are permitted into the space by Viacom security!
