USS Yorktown at Patriots Point, Mt. Pleasant, SC

Join us for the 2019 SAMPE Carolinas Materials Expo event, bringing together suppliers and customers from the composites industry. The Materials Expo will once again be held on the hangar deck of the Yorktown aircraft carrier at the Patriots' Point Naval & Maritime Museum in Mount Pleasant, SC.

Registration fees are $30/person and include admission, parking, access to tour the WWII-era Yorktown aircraft carrier, and an evening of presentations, networking,  and learning about the latest from suppliers of advanced materials and processing technologies. There will be a light buffet supper with cash bar.

Expo attendees are also invited to tour the Clemson Energy Innovation Center and the Hunley Submarine Museum Thursday morning before the Expo. The Clemson Energy Innovation Center is a one-of-a-kind facility featuring specialized equipment for testing mechanical stresses on wind turbines and for modeling the electrical grid. The Hunley Submarine Museum features the Confederate War-era Hunley submarine, which was raised from the waters outside Charleston in 2000 and is currently undergoing conservation. The two facilities are across the street from each other on a campus in North Charleston. Slots in these two tours are limited to 30 people and must be registered for in advance (the Clemson Wind Turbine Test Facility must approve all visitors in advance.) You can sign up for the tours when you register for the Materials Expo. TOURS ARE SOLD OUT
