Understanding Franchising—What’s Beyond the Glitzy Presentation
Anyone thinking about buying a franchise or wishing to know more about how franchises operate should attend this workshop. You will get a good overview of how franchisors operate and derive their income and how their objectives relate to you and affect you—the potential franchisee. Learn about both the positives and negatives of this important sector of our economy providing a variety of opportunities for those entrepreneurs who want to invest and work hard in running and growing their own business with the guidance of a franchisor.
A light breakfast will be provided courtesy of the Harvard Ed Portal, starting at 9:30am. The presentation begins at 10am.
This workshop is co-sponsored by SCORE Boston and the Harvard Ed Portal and is presented by Fred DeFinis. Fred is a SCORE counselor with extensive experience in all facets of consumer products marketing, including marketing and sales strategy, product development/sourcing, and market research. He understand the important and subtle aspects of shopping for and purchasing a franchise and knows what to look out for too.
