PFCCpartners invites you to the Gateways to Patient Family Advisory (PFA) Program Boot Camp, a day and a half interactive learning session to start or strengthen your Advisory program. The Boot Camp provides a systematic approach to establishing the structure for a patient family advisory program in your organization. Participating teams will leave with an individualized strategic plan including action items to implement in your organization. Teams with existing PFA Programs will also benefit by increasing the supportive infrastructure and focus for PFAC programs.
1. Teams will follow a proven process for implementing high value and sustainable patient family advisory programs.
2. Teams will implement engagement of patient family advisors to inform the current priorities of the organization, with flexibility for growth built in.
3. Teams will have their first meeting with newly recruited patient family advisors within six months of the Boot Camp. Teams with currently meeting advisory programs will implement action plan within six months.
4. Teams will receive all of the templates, tools and resources to successfully implement the action plan following the Boot Camp.
5. Teams will acquire the technical support needed for implementation following the Boot Camp.

Pre Work Call: (30 min) organizational team meet with PFCCpartners Faculty to answer questions, define the scope of the organization's efforts and create connections to the strategic goals of the participating organization.
Readinees Tool: Provided to the teams as they prepare to implement or strengthen advisory programs. The Readiness Tool covers items such as leadership support, organizational priorities and team composite and is useful to team in identifying the current state related to engaging patients and families.
Boot Camp: This high energy, dynamic day and half will introduce the Gateways Program, a proven method for establishing high value and sustainable patient family advisory programs, including councils. Teams will be guided through exercises to write a clear vision statement and charter, develop a robust recruitment plan, design a comprehensive orientation plan and plan for the first meeting of their newly formed or re engineered advsiory program. Teams from different healthcare organizations participate in the Boot Camp, providing an additional opportunity for collaborative learning.
Online Community: Prior to the Gateways Boot Camp and following, Yammer will offer an online community for the Boot Camp participants. This forum provides continuous peer support and subject matter expertise to support teams as they begin to implement the advisory program designed at the Boot Camp.
Coaching Calls: Teams will have the personalized support of PFCCpartners Faculty in 30 min coaching sessions to troubleshoot any implementation issues, be a thought partner and provide expert guidance.
