LEARN ABOUT THE NEW CALTRANS STATICTICAL PAY FACTORS SPECIFICATIONS, TECHNOLOGY & BEST PRACTICES
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the construction industry have jointly collaborated on updating the Caltrans specifications as they relate to Statistical Pay Factors for Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA). This has been done under the auspices of the Caltrans-industry Pavement & Materials Parterning Committee (PMPC), which was formerly known as the "Rock Products Committee."
The training curriculum and materials have been developed in anticipation of the publishing of the new specification language with regards to Statistical Pay Factors. This joint training class is open to Caltrans, construction industry and local agency representatives. There is no cost, but advanced registration is REQUIRED to secure your seat.
IMPORTANT NOTE TO CALTRANS EMPLOYEES: This sign-up page is for industry and local agency attendees only. Caltrans employees must utilize the "Staff Central" learning-management system to register. Look for a training announcement sent from HQ Division of Construction, or from your District Statical Pay Factor Coordinator.
The class will cover spec changes and terminology, measuring quality, incentives & disincentives, inspection & acceptance considerations. The instructors of this class are Pete Spector, Caltrans Division of Construction, and Tony Limas, Granite Construction.
Bonus! After the class, all attendees will receive electronic copies of the PowerPoint presentations delivered during the training, for future reference.
