Hobbit Casting Director Matthew Maisto acting intensive

Casting director Matthew Maisto will be returning to DC on June 2nd for a one day workshop. He's helped cast films such as: "On The Basis of Sex", "FoxCatcher", "St VIncent", "The Hobbit" and TV shows: "Insecure", "Modern Family" and many others. He will teach you audition techniques, script analysis and how to nail your next audition.

In the workshop Matthew will help teach you how to analyze the sides you are given, how to figure out what the character is doing in the scene and how to bring out the best audition. You will be given sides from projects he's worked on and he will help guide you through how to bring your best to the audition room or self tape. You will learn about making solid acting choices. He is an amazing instructor and past attendees have raved about his class and how much they learned,

Your on camera time will be taped and you will recieve a copy of it.

Matthew is a two time Artios Award Nominee. He has worked on recent projects like "On the Basis of Sex", James Franco's "Blood Surf", Vince Vaughn's "Brawl in Cell Block 99", "St Vincent" with BIll Murry, and films such as "Foxcatcher", "The Wolf of Wall Street", "Uncle Drew (Lionsgate film), "The Hobbit" and many others.

He has worked in TV most recently casting for the hit HBO series "Insecure", and other shows like Nicki Minaj's "Nicki", and "Modern Family", as well as countless others.

Matthew is a bi-coastal casting director working in both LA and NY. This gives him great perspective on how different regions work.
