TapRoot®: Near Misses and Root Cause Analysis Training

Learn to analyze accidents, incidents, near-misses, equipment failures, operating issues, or quality problems using TapRooT® techniques. The 5-Step investigation process simplifies TapRooT® to make the investigation efficient yet effective. Training focuses on understanding what happened, identifying Causal Factors, analyzing the Causal Factors using the Root Cause Tree®, and developing effective fixes using the Corrective Action Helper® Module. You will get the chance to use the TapRooT® System to analyze an actual incident brought by you or one of your team members. 

 Day 1

  • SnapCharT Excercise - Practice
  • Causal Factors - Identifying the error
  • Root Cause Tree - Eliminating blame

Day 2

  • Software Overview - Practicing the techniques
  • Generic Causes - Optional technique
  • Causal Factors - Additional practice
  • Reporting - Management presentation
  • Frequently Asked Questions
  • Final Excercise - Putting what you've learned to work
