Mulching Work Party at Willamette Mission

What:You are invited to join Willamette Riverkeeper and our partners Oregon State Parks, One Tree Planted and Bonneville Environmental Foundation in mulching native trees and shrubs along the edge of a new floodplain forest. We will enjoy a morning of peace and quiet at Willamette Mission State Park. You will also learn more about the important role of floodplain forests and how we have been working to improve these habitats in the Willamette Valley. This event was originally scheudled for Earth Day, but we needed to postpone due to flooding.

This event is free and family friendly!

Where: Drive directly to the planting site from the main entrance. Drive in, and cross over the channel. Keep going straight until you see our Riverkeeper sign in a parking lot to your left.

When: Please arrive by 9:30 am to check in.

Bring: Dress appropriately for spring weather (such as a rain coat, rain pants, warm hat, extra layers, and sun protection too!).  Bring a water bottle. We will provide water to refill your bottles, snacks, tools, and work gloves.  We also have a t shirt gift for you from our One Tree Planted partner!
