Southern Alberta Preceptor Summit 2019

(Formerly Faculty Development South)

Prehistoric setting. Modern medicine.

Join Distributed Learning and Rural Initiatives as we explore current topics in medicine at SAPS 2019!

This conference uses interactive, small, group workshops to share the latest knowledge and best practices in managing challenging health issues that commonly present in the rural community, across the continuum of care.

At the end of this conference, participants will be able to:

  • Identify gaps in teaching skills for preceptors in rural sites throughout Southern & Central Alberta.
  • Create local expertise in teaching to allow future locally run faculty development.
  • Develop links between disciplines and teaching sites.

See the workshops at a glance!

There will be a family mixer on Friday, September 27th, and a special plenary presentation and dinner on September 28th. Breakfast and lunch is also provided September 28th.

After registering, please book your hotel room separately through the Cretaceous Conference Centre in Drumheller. Mention SAPS19 and call
