to Maximize Your Profits

Learn how you can put more money in your pockets by taking advantage of the tax savings under the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act (TCJA)!

We'll cut through the jargon and give you the need-to-know details about the 20% tax deduction for self-employed individuals and their flow-through entities.

You'll learn about:

  • qualified business income
  • limitations to the 20% tax deduction
  • other law changes that may affect taxable income from your business (e.g., Meals & Entertainment deduction) 
  • tactics to change taxable income to maximize the 20% deduction

Presenter Sheryl Brown has an MBA and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of New Mexico and is President of Taking Care of Business, LLC.  Ms. Brown has extensive business consulting experience and also assists her clients with tax planning and preparation services. She has also held several accounting positions including Assistant Controller with an international civil engineering firm. Ms. Brown has owned a retail store and manages several rental properties (including residential and commercial). She is also a certified SCORE mentor.
