Who Should Attend: Social Workers, Mental Health Counselors, Creative Arts Therapists, Marriage and Family Therapists, Psychologists, and any professional that is working in the mental health field. This presentation is designed to enhance clinicians’ familiarity from a basic level of understanding of trauma treatment to an intermediate level of accommodation for individuals with developmental disabilities.

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS:
Valentina Stoycheva, PhD
Dr. Stoycheva is a clinical psychologist, specializing in trauma and family work. She is currently a staff psychologist at the Unified Behavioral Health Center at Northwell Health, working extensively with military service members, veterans, and their families. She also serves as a liaison with Northport VA. Through an NCTSN grant, given to Northwell Health’s STRYDD center, Dr. Stoycheva is actively engaged in adapting existing trauma and family treatments/interventions for families and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Daniel Hoffman, PhD, ABPP
Dr. Hoffman is a clinical psychologist at the STRYDD Center. He holds a doctorate in Clinical and School Psychology, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Columbia University Clinic for Anxiety & Related Disorders (CUCARD) in evidence based treatments for child and adolescent anxiety and related disorders, as well as dissemination of evidence based treatments. Dr. Hoffman is board certified in Behavioral and Cognitive Psychology. He is an Assistant Professor at the Zucker-Hofstra School of Medicine. Dr. Hoffman maintains a private practice, and has worked in regular and special education settings. He has presented at national conventions and the local community.
