The Ideal Orthodontic Plan is Not Always Ideal Class I Occlusion

How to Customize Orthodontic Treatment Plans and Aligner Bio-Mechanics to be Patient Specific.

As orthodontic clinicians it is our responsibility to measure patient conditions and recommend appropriate orthodontic solutions for their individual circumstances. Often this means that the single objective of Class I posterior occlusion with all teeth present and aligned with ideal torque across the entire dental arches is not suited for every patient. Learn how to customize our orthodontic objectives for individual patients and their unique circumstances, and then how to express this orthodontic plan into customized aligner therapy.

Learn how to:

  • Customize orthodontic objectives for patients and customize the aligner bio-mechanics to express this plan.
  • Manipulate the 3D ClinCheck Software tools to bend your aligners like you bend wires.
  • Diagnostic criteria that will help you identify the patients who will benefit more from aligner based orthodontics then traditional wire/braces orthodontics, and how to customize those aligners for them.
