At the conclusion of this live activity the participant should be able to:

1. Summarize current practice recommendations for the management of lipids in patients with diabetes.
2.Describe the treatmemt of diabetic ketoacidosis in pediatric patients
3. Discuss newly available medications and standards of care for patients with diabetes.
4. Summarize the implications of hypoglycemia in DM in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
5. Differentiate the types of diabetes that complicate pregnancy and the treatment options utilized.
