Jane E. Jones Memorial Conference Scholarship

Jane Jones was an ally, mentor, friend and resource to free clinics across the country. Jane started and directed Neighborhood Free Medical Clinic in Lacey, and later became a free clinic consultant. She died in a tragic accident in March 2015.

Jane believed in the power of relationships and good governance. The Jane E. Jones Memorial Conference Scholarship covers full registration for two people from a single clinic to attend the conference together -  a key staff person or volunteer, and a board member.

If you would like to be considered for this scholsrhip, please apply here. Recipients will be selected in early July. The application closes July 1.

Marcia Howery Award

Marcia Howery directed the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington from 1990 until her death in 2008. In these years, Marcia demonstrated a heartfelt commitment to helping underserved patients receive the healthcare they needed. Marcia also assisted other free clinics across the region as they got started and grew, and she was instrumental in the development of Washington Healthcare Access Alliance.

The Marcia Howery Award commemorates a life of service to underserved communities by distinguishing those who continue this work with the same passion. Any volunteer, clinic employee or community member who embodies the ideals and values of free and charitable care through acts of leadership, generosity, commitment, and mutual support is eligible to receive this award.

The Marcia Howery Award will be presented at the conference. Please submit your nomination(s) here. Nominations will be accepted through July 1.
