Celebrating our Profession through Presentations

Update as of August 28, 2019

We have gathered new, interesting, informative, and relevant presentations for this year's conference, and we are pleased to announce that as of this date, WE HAVE RECEIVED APPROVAL FROM THE OHIO CSWMFT BOARD FOR LSW AND LPC!  Although not all sessions were approved (only 5 did not meet the criteria), our Ethics session on Friday afternoon did get approved for ethics!  We will update our Preview in the next day or so.

AND WE HAVE RECEIVED APPROVAL FROM CCM, CDMS (1 hour of Ethics), CRC (2 hours of Ethics) and the Ohio DD Board!

WE'VE UPDATED OUR PREVIEW SCHEDULE.  Click here for a Preview of our Time Schedule and our Presentations by Day.

Celebrating Individuals & Organizations with Awards

The Ohio Rehabilitation Association, founded in 1954, has a long and rich history in the field of rehabilitation.  Over the course of our careers, many of us have been fortunate to be mentored by skilled and dedicated colleagues; inspired by persons with disabilities who have overcome obstacles; or had opportunities to contribute to the success of local business enterprises by providing creative job development options or supportive job coaching.  Consequently, you are invited to nominate those individuals, agencies and companies who have made significant contributions in our field.

Let's make 2019 meaningful and memorable for those who deserve recognition and accolades!  The ORA Board is reviewing the nominations received to date.  However if you feel you have an outstanding nomination, please let us know.  Click here for information on our nomination categories and our Nomination Form.  Inquiries may be sent to awards@ohiorehab.org.  We look forward to hearing from you!  The final deadline to Wednesday, August 28, 2019.

Celebrating the Next Generation of Professionals

We have invited students from Ohio universities to present "poster sessions" at this year's conference.  We look forward to these poster sessions to see what the next generation of professionals is learning and how they will play a role in the future of rehab.

In addition, as is our tradition, we have been accepting applications for our Student Ambassador positions at the conference.   For information on the duties of our Student Ambassadors, click here.  For a PDF-fillable application form, click here.

We hope to have students from KSU, Wilberforce, WSU, and OU.

To support our Student Ambassadors, we will once again raffle off creative, fun BASKETS!  The baskets are solely based on the individual's or organization's creativity and expense.  The proceeds go to support our Student Ambassadors' expenses of attending the conference.  For those who donate a basket, you will receive recognition and will receive a business size ad space in our program book.   We are also pre-selling our basket raffle tickets - just include your raffle tickets in addition to your registration!  Easy!

If you are interested in donating a basket, please contact Renee Scheidweiler.

Celebrating with Fun Stuff and Break Food!

Again, in the spirit of celebrating, we are soliciting for fun stuff and food!  We know our participants always enjoy getting free stuff and plenty of snacks.  Therefore, we are looking for sponsors who would like to donate items for a "conference" bag or sponsor one of our morning or afternoon breaks.

Donors and/or Sponsors will receive a half-page ad space in our program book and various additional recognitions.

Interested?  Please contact Vickie Leeming at oraconference@bex.net
The deadline is August 30, 2019.
