Media Marvels Portraits and Object Photography Workshop 

In this Media Marvels program, girls will discover the world of portraits and product photography. Breaking up into teams, girls will learn how to stage, light, and photograph people and small objects. They will be taking portraits of each other and photographing items from the gift shop or museum. If you do not have a camera or cell phone, please email Jaime Estes at jaimee@gsgcf.org and one will be provided for your use for the day.

This program will be taught by Enlightened Monkey Arts' co-owner Dave Gordon. During the photography portion of this program, Dave will be available to answer questions, help you solve problems, and improve your photography skills. After taking pictures in your teams, you will have a discussion about what you've learned.

Once you get home, you will select your favorite three photos and upload them to our closed online group. You will be provided a link to this group after registering for this event. These photos and others that Media Marvels take throughout the year will then be used by this group  to create brochures, ad campaigns, and other marketing materials for Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida. These skills will also be practiced at various Girl Scout programs.
