Portal Houston Reentry Coaching  

 

We have two fall programs that start with mentoring a woman for 6 sessions before she is released. 

• NORTH SIDE   Plane State Jail - Dayton, TX  2nd and 4th Fridays at 6:00 pm Starts Sept. 13th. 
• SOUTH SIDE   Carole Young - Dickinson, TX, 3rd and 4th Sundays at 5:00 pm.  Starts August 18th.  

There are many opportunites to make a difference in the community without going to the prison: 

Bible Study Teachers 

Life Skills Teachers 

Small Group Recovery Leaders 

Event Coordinators 

Most of the women are not violent offenders. Their paths to prison are very often childhood trauma, parental stress, poverty, and desperate life situations.  Most do not have family to support them at their homecoming.  Without our support, many of these women would return to the same kinds of situations that sent them to prison.  Partner with Portal Houston to make a difference in someone's life as a coach.
